the beauty of their buoyancy

these walls feel differently

without you inhabiting them–

the space is vast– but the memory

of your smile helps to fill it.

the echo of your words–

a solid form standing before me–

utterances i’ve longed to hear

bouncing off the yellow,

tumbling by the grasshopper

who softly sings on seemingly

every surface–

a reminder

of the grace and charm

surrounding.

i fill up my senses with you–

drink your words– inhabit

your smell,

acknowledge these ties

and feel their pliant elasticity–

the beauty of their buoyancy–

a transparency i will not

take for granted.

a simple circle,  completed

and completing–

continuously encapsulating.
